Penning was kicked out of practice after his third fight in three days.

What's up with this kid, what's happening with the NFL. All these guy's who finally made it are taking it for granted.

He said he plays hard and follows through to the final whistle and it rubs ppl the wrong way... ngl, i like it, he has a meanstreak and if im a QB i want that guy on my team, protecting me, dishing it out and giving it back to the defense

Imo this is just a testament to how hard he practices and shows he takes practice seriously

I love that shit

Pretty much nailed it. It was a known fact the guy has one motor. He was doing the same thing at senior bowl practice. Fights and scuffle nfl training camp are nothing uncommon. Especially rookies who go hard vs vets. Type of player that will commit a penalty here and there with that play style but you take the good with the bad.

Anybody who played football knows the deal when it’s hot as fuck and getting worked into shape with hard ass brutal practices. Add in new guys trying establish themselves and you will have some high intensity moments. From HS to college to NFL you are taking guys off the couch into a hot humid day and asking them to go crash their body into shit. Not an easy transition no matter how many years. Tempers will flare. Big part of what they mean by getting in football shape. Takes few weeks to get it out the system.

Every person should have to go through one week of HS football practice pre season before graduation. Or for college graduation. Girl or guy one week of Two a days. Put on those nasty sweat stinking pads at 7 am. Go stretch in the dew soaked steamy grass. Start hitting drills. Take a break at noon. Come back strap it all back on 2 hours later and do it all over again in the heat. Finish it off with everyone favorite thing conditioning till you puke. Shit will humble you. Make you appreciate things in life a bit differently also. Need to toughen up these Americans anyway

The Jets
Brutal lol.

I like the direction a bit of late. However, I destroy decisions made by GM’s on 90% teams.

Believe it was 2017. Drafted two safeties. Adams and Williams or Maye can’t remember which one with first two picks.

2018 was the Darnold pick. Personally he was not even a draft able player on my board. However, I’m real picky with QBs. Rarely will I have more than 3 draftable QBs. But whatever, they went with him

2019 Williams Bama kid.

2020 I remember well. Went Becton over Wirfs. You never doubt a Iowa Player especially O line. And the. mims! You never draft a Baylor WR, I learned this years ago with Antwan Goodley. Go down to Texas Tech for a Flyer on a WR. Then follow it up with Davis the safety (liked the kid). Not sure what else they got. But do remember Hall CB Virginia real late. Excellent pick.

2021 they go Wilson and Tucker. Then Moore and the Carter boys RB/S. Not that bad. Reaching for Tucker imo traded back up.

2022 like what they did! Absolutely love the Hall pick. Possibly Jonathan Taylor 2.0. I pounded the table for the Bulls to trade back up for Hall along with KC Phi LAC as perfect fits for those teams.

I bet if you go back and look from 2017 to 2021 the jets who had some draft capital probably only have 2-3 significant players still on the roster. Probably only 5-6 total with most of them 2021 guys.

Investing in two safety rd 1 and 2. To then let them walk and to replace them with other less caliber safety picks. Drafting Darnold to trade him but say he has no talent around him to then take another QB and then you decide to draft RB WR OL guys to surround the new QB with talent. They could have gotten a fortune trading 2nd pick, kept Darnold and added draft capital along with weapons for Darnold. I think Darnold sucks but I didn’t Draft him.

Now the jets dump $ into FA safeties to go along with Draft picks into the position. Joyner Whitehead Davis. Huge downgrade.. They dump $ into the O line because they are sweating the draft picks. Which is fine, can never have too much o line. More the better. Let crowder walk because they invested in Mims Moore Wilson. To go along with the huge Davis WR signing. Way over paid for CJ and Conk at TE. But at least addressing the situation.

Organization is just running circles. Either commit or blow it all up. Work inside out with youth. OL DL and then work in to help QB. Way too much wasted drafts capital past few years. Bitching FA signings also. They had a shot to really capitalize 3 years ago. Thankfully they addressed the draft well this year.

Personally I’d had Wirfs two years ago. But this year I would have traded out of 10 with NO or PHI or KC or GB. The market was right for premium WR. Easy deal and extra picks especially teams like Phi KC GB who had way to many picks and can’t afford all of them anyway. Then scooped up a Johnson Penning Linderbaum 1-2 of those for my o line. I’m calling Baltimore for Ben Cleveland or Ben Grubbs for their service on the cheap at guard. Then trading back into RD 1 28-32 for Hall to get ahead of Tampa ATL Hou type teams who wiyuld probably be eyeing him. They got Hall rd 2 though. I’d reached a bit. WR help can be found later. Worry more about that next year. Davis Moore give me a pierce Pickens type bigger body WR. Slot guys can be created. Follow up with big body athletic TE kohlar. Work off that and into next year to tighten up team see where areas need to be fixed.

I think jets are 7-9 win team few breaks their way. 2023 the noise maker year if things get addressed right

Pretty good breakdown... but i like tucker, alot he was solid last year as a rookie, he will be even better this year... darnold was just hype he has a weak arm lacks vision and he panics

The oother safety was Maye and tbh i really like the team theyve put together I dont think they overpaid for moseley at all, he is wssentially a QB on defense and makes a HUGE impact. Our secondary will be much much better this year and so does the return of lawson who was out best player all camp until he went down last szn

He didn't start any of the fights. The DEs got pissy because Penning is trying to earn a starting role going hard and the vets don't like it. Got to love these sports writers.

Don’t dislike the Tucker pick at all. Just reaching a bit imo. I see guys just as versatile in creed Humphrey Landon Dickerson I had 28-36 overall spot projection grade picks could been had easily.

Yep Maye, Florida kid. Always got him and Williams Saints Safety mixed up.

Secondary ain’t bad. Personally I really like Hall out UVA at CB. He just fell and fell Draft day because of stupid combine shit. 6th rd maybe. He was solid last year what little I saw in NYJ. Didn’t mind the Sauce Pick. Draft talk thread I was pretty big on him few weeks before draft with under 7.5 pick. Possibly a really special player.

Lawson was a good pick up 2 years ago. Absolute wrecking ball at Auburn. Another round 4 late pick teams just passed on combine BS. Football player is a football player. All ya need to see on tape. Too many times teams get cute passing these guys up.

Again, Jets 7-9 wins imo. Big improvement. I’m way more optimistic than some but make the playoffs is not out the question. If they take more the Niners philosophy on offense and utilize the RB talent, keep Wilson easy and play what’s in front of them. Schedule will help also. They can win 3 vs Mia Ne Buf. Clean up outside division and make some noise. But with any team limited injuries will be big.

Yep, very common vets vs Rooks scuffles. Guy just competing hard vs vets already locked in trying go through motions. Vets like to test rooks also and don’t like getting kick back from a rook working up on them.
